Jorge Delgado-Ureña
Renowned Spanish photographer, resident mentor and co-founder of The Raw Society, Jorge Delgado-Ureña has taught dozens of photography workshops all over the world.
Jorge has over 15 years of experience in photography and an innate ability for teaching. He’s been published in several local and international magazines, including National Geographic, Ijsberg Magazine, La Vanguardia, Publico, Fisheye Magazine to name a few. His photographs have also been exhibited in El Colegio de Periodistas and Lomography Embassy in Barcelona, Lensculture Berlin 2017, The Independent Photographer Berlin 2018, a retrospective exhibition of his work in Menorca, Spain in 2024 and he is currently working on the publication of two books of his work.

1. Authorship: Finding What Makes You, You
We begin by breaking down the concept of authorship: What does it mean to make work that only you could make? We'll explore your influences, instincts, and patterns to identify what your work is already saying—and what it could say more clearly.
2. Technique, On Your Terms
Technique is a tool—not a goal. We’ll refine your technical approach to serve your storytelling and expression, not the other way around. The city will be our testing ground.
3. Daily Assignments and Location-Based Practice
You’ll shoot every day in diverse Istanbul neighborhoods with curated assignments tailored to push you out of your comfort zone—and closer to your own style.
4. Daily Editing + Group Critique
Every afternoon we’ll review, edit, and discuss. These sessions are where the real growth happens: honest feedback, new perspectives, and emerging clarity.
We reserve the right to improvise (always with the objective to improve your overall experience), and change plans due to adverse weather conditions or complications that may arise that are out of our control. Great photography and safety are our number one priority.
We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if the minimum number of participants is not met (which is highly unlikely).
